Stout Energy provides Cooling as a Service(CaaS). We maintain your HVAC systems at maximum efficiency, letting you focus on the cool air and nothing else.
Cooling as a Service brings the benefits of the pay-per-use model to HVAC.
Under a CaaS scheme, we take ownership of your HVAC system. We purchase equipment such as chillers or roof top units for your building without charging you anything upfront. We maintain the system 24/7 and pay the electric bills. We repair and replace parts, keeping the system running at optimum condition. This gives us the incentive to maintain maximum efficiency. You only pay a monthly fee for the ‘cooling’ you use.
The best part? No upfront costs! The monthly fee you pay is inclusive of all maintenance, electricity, and water charges. The solution is priced cheaper than existing maintenance contracts. We are able to do this because we make money out of the energy savings produced by virtue of ultra-efficient maintenance.
Lifetime costs of CaaS systems are lower as equipment life increases due to proper maintenance. In addition, we make use of advanced AI technologies to pre-emptively fix issues, ensuring most problems are fixed even before the customer notices.
Stout Energy delivers Cooling as a Service (CaaS) solutions across Ras Al Khaimah, enabling property owners and developers to access high-performance cooling systems without the need for upfront capital investment or the operational burden of owning and managing HVAC infrastructure.
In Ras Al Khaimah’s rapidly growing real estate and industrial landscape, the CaaS model shifts cooling from a capital-heavy asset to a simple utility-style service. Instead of investing in chillers, pumps, and associated plant equipment—and then taking on the complexity of operation and maintenance—clients only pay for the actual cooling energy used. Stout Energy takes full responsibility for designing, financing, installing, and running the entire cooling system throughout the contract period.
Within this service framework, Stout Energy retains full ownership of the cooling assets and deploys complete end-to-end infrastructure including chillers, pumping systems, control systems, and all supporting mechanical and electrical components. Our operations team manages 24/7 plant performance, system reliability, and efficiency optimisation, while also handling all preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, replacements, and lifecycle asset management to ensure consistent cooling delivery under Ras Al Khaimah’s demanding climate conditions.
Because we are directly responsible for both performance and operating costs, the model naturally drives continuous efficiency improvements. Every kilowatt saved contributes to better system economics, which aligns our objectives with those of the client—reducing waste, improving plant efficiency, and ensuring stable indoor environmental conditions over time.
For clients in Ras Al Khaimah, this translates into a fully predictable monthly operating expense with zero capital expenditure, no maintenance contracting complexity, and no exposure to unexpected equipment failure costs. A single service fee covers end-to-end cooling supply, system maintenance, spare parts, remote monitoring, optimisation, and energy management, consolidating all HVAC-related responsibilities into one managed service.
PROCEDURE
-
Clients enters into a standard CaaS agreement with STOUT for a fixed term, typically 5–10 years. CaaS Fee is decided based on expected cooling consumption and capacity of plant.
-
STOUT takes over client’s existing cooling plant and carries out a structured transition period during which the system is upgraded. This includes the installation of high-efficiency chillers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), advanced automation and Building Management Systems (BMS), as well as adiabatic cooling retrofits and solar PV integration on a turnkey basis. All necessary intermediate works—such as piping modifications, electrical upgrades, and system integration—are also fully handled by STOUT.
-
STOUT delivers continuous, reliable cooling throughout the contract tenure, fully managing all operational responsibilities and associated costs—including maintenance, spare parts, consumables, electricity, and water. This allows the client to eliminate operational complexity and focus entirely on their core business activities.
ADVANTAGES
-

0 CAPEX
Clients pay no fees upfront, saving up valuable capital to be invested in their core businesses.
-

REDUCED OPEX
CaaS results in reduced operating costs with a pay-per-use service that’s off balance.
-

0 EXECUTION RISKS
The client takes no risk of cooling performance or efficiency with guaranteed space conditions.
-

ADVANCED TECH
Increased automation through the use of AI, AR, and VR technologies, all monitored through a central control center.
-

REDUCED EMISSIONS
Increased efficiency results in up to 50% reduction in carbon emissions caused by the building’s cooling system.

At Stout Energy, we recognise that building owners and developers in Ras Al Khaimah are facing increasing pressure from high upfront HVAC investment costs, rising electricity consumption driven by extreme summer conditions, and the complexity of maintaining reliable cooling systems year-round.
That’s why we deliver Cooling as a Service (CaaS) — a fully managed cooling solution that removes the need to own, finance, or operate chiller plant equipment. Instead of committing capital to expensive mechanical systems, we take complete responsibility for the entire lifecycle: from system design and financing to installation, operation, and long-term maintenance of the cooling infrastructure.
With our no-capex model, Stout Energy owns and manages all core equipment, including chillers, pumps, heat rejection systems, and control infrastructure. Clients benefit from a fully functional, high-efficiency cooling plant without any upfront investment, allowing them to preserve cash flow and redirect capital toward their core development or business priorities.
Our CaaS structure is based on a single all-inclusive monthly service fee that consolidates cooling supply, maintenance, system optimisation, spare parts, monitoring, and utility-related management. This provides complete cost visibility and eliminates unpredictable repair or replacement expenses. Through continuous digital monitoring, AI-based analytics, and predictive maintenance strategies, we ensure that systems operate at peak efficiency while reducing energy wastage and avoiding breakdowns before they occur.
Whether it is a new development in Ras Al Khaimah or the retrofitting of an existing chiller plant, we deliver fully optimised, high-performance cooling systems tailored to the emirate’s coastal climate and growing infrastructure demands. Clients simply pay for the cooling service they consume—typically achieving operational costs that are stable, competitive, and often lower than traditional self-operated HVAC systems.
