Stout Energy provides Cooling as a Service(CaaS). We maintain your HVAC systems at maximum efficiency, letting you focus on the cool air and nothing else.
Cooling as a Service brings the benefits of the pay-per-use model to the HVAC-R industry.
Under a CaaS scheme, we take ownership of your HVAC system. We purchase equipment such as chillers or roof top units for your building without charging you anything upfront. We maintain the system 24/7 and pay the electric bills. We repair and replace parts, keeping the system running at optimum condition. This gives us the incentive to maintain maximum efficiency. You only pay a monthly fee for the ‘cooling’ you use.
The best part? No upfront costs! The monthly fee you pay is inclusive of all maintenance, electricity, and water charges as well. The solution is priced cheaper than existing passive maintenance contracts. We are able to do this because we make money out of the energy savings produced by virtue of ultra-efficient maintenance.
Lifetime costs of systems under CaaS are also lower as equipment life increases due to proper maintenance. In addition, we make use of advanced artificial intelligence and mixed reality technologies to pre-emptively fix issues, ensuring most problems are fixed even before the customer can notice.
Stout Energy delivers Cooling as a Service (CaaS) solutions across Sharjah, enabling building owners to access high-performance, reliable cooling while eliminating the need for upfront capital investment and long-term equipment ownership risks.
CaaS introduces a utility-style model to Sharjah’s evolving HVAC landscape, where cooling is treated as a managed service rather than a capital asset. Instead of investing in, operating, and maintaining complex and costly cooling infrastructure, clients simply pay for the cooling they use, while Stout Energy ensures end-to-end system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Under a CaaS agreement, Stout Energy takes full control and ownership of the cooling infrastructure. We finance, design, and deploy all necessary equipment—including chillers, pumps, air handling systems, controls, and associated balance-of-plant components—without any upfront capital expenditure from the client. Our responsibility extends across full lifecycle management, with 24/7 operations, proactive maintenance, energy optimization, and timely replacement of components to ensure continuous peak performance.
This structure creates a direct alignment between Stout Energy and its clients. Since we bear the operational responsibility, we are continuously driven to optimize energy consumption, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance system performance throughout the entire contract duration.
For building owners in Sharjah, this translates into predictable monthly payments, zero capital investment, and complete removal of operational complexity. All key elements—including cooling supply, maintenance, spare parts, monitoring, and utility costs—are consolidated into a single service fee, offering full financial and operational clarity.
Across Sharjah’s diverse built environment—including commercial towers, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, government buildings, residential communities, and industrial zones—our CaaS model enables organizations to modernize their cooling systems while preserving capital for core business growth and development.
PROCEDURE
-
Clients sign a straightforward and transparent Cooling as a Service (CaaS) agreement with STOUT for an agreed period, usually between 5 and 10 years. The monthly service fee is calculated in advance based on the projected system performance and anticipated operating conditions. STOUT commits to providing uninterrupted cooling, maintaining the specified supply temperature around the clock, every day of the year, to ensure consistent comfort and dependable operation for the client.
-
STOUT takes over the client's existing cooling infrastructure and oversees a carefully planned transition process to enhance its performance. During this phase, the system is gradually modernized through the installation of energy-efficient chillers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), advanced control and Building Management Systems (BMS), adiabatic cooling upgrades, and turnkey solar PV integration. STOUT also carries out all supporting works required, including piping alterations, electrical enhancements, and complete system integration.
In simple terms, the existing cooling plant is transformed into a highly efficient, state-of-the-art system designed to deliver improved performance and reliability.
-
STOUT provides uninterrupted and dependable cooling for the entire duration of the agreement, taking full responsibility for system operation and all related expenses, including maintenance, replacement parts, consumables, electricity, and water. By assuming these obligations, STOUT removes the day-to-day burden of managing the cooling system, enabling the client to concentrate on their primary business operations.
